I feel the older I get the more I realize my heart posture toward God is so important.
There’s so many things in the world that can make me feel certain ways and begin to change my heart posture.
1 Samuel 16:7 is such a key scripture to my walk with the Lord because I feel my life flows out of my heart posture. Many people that know me, know I’m not a very emotional person but I try to always make sure my heart is in the right place.
I just want to also give a big shout out to my parents for teaching me the ways of the Lord since I was young and always telling me to “guard my heart.” A lot of people see my brothers and our families doing work for the Lord but I know if it wasn’t for my parents being faithful believers it would not be possible. I love you Mom and Dad you guys are amazing!
A challenge I want to present to anyone reading is to try to check your heart a few times a day to see if it is really in a place that glorifies God or if something else is trying to corrupt it. Even if it is in the right posture, ask God to help you and to help others that in everything we do he will he glorified by our heart posture toward him.
